Antiques Roadshow has an excellent website, plus links to other sites & to their experts. Christie is has good sites, as does Sotheby's. You might also go to eBay, & scope out some items similar to those u want to research. Usually, those offering them have done background work on them, & they may list their sources. When looking at eBay, remember that the information may be correct so far as they KNOW..always verify. Once u have a name of an artist or craftsman, u have a place to start.
